mitsubishi outlander gt prototype

Rolling onto the floor in Diamond White, the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Prototype showcases a serious departure from the current Outlander's styling and a clear indication that the face of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will become the new face of Mitsubishi. To compliment the sporty new looks, the Outlander is getting a slight bump in power from its 3.0L MIVEC V-6 thanks to a new air intake, new intake cam timing and a revised compression ratio. Borrowed from the current Outlander XLS, the engine now produces 230 hp while improving fuel economy and reducing emissions. To further improve fuel economy, the automatic transmission features Mitsubishi's new Idle Neutral Logic system, which automatically shifts the transmission into neutral when the vehicle is stopped, reducing engine load. When the driver decreases pressure on the brake pedal even slightly, the transmission shifts back into drive for instantaneous response. When this new styling and technology will reach showrooms, and at what price, has not been announced yet.
